departure

So I'm leaving for DC on Monday. I can feel my headache starting already.

I have a few film projects in the wings. I'm going to try and upload some older stop motion stuff. One of them won the "Rising Star" award at the Chicago International Film Festival, Youth Division, apparently. I have absolutely no idea what that means, but I supposedly would have gotten a scholarship to a summer film school. Except I cannot afford air fair. So I get nothing. Hah.

Anyway. I actually don't have very much to update about.

Oh yeah. I'm in dire need of money. Does anybody have a source of income that works exceptionally well for them, be it photography related or not? I need ideas :P

As usual, cruise on over to my favorites section for some incredible artwork.

Peace.

I dont know, but I'm in the same boat money wise. The only thing I've found is that my lesbian neighbors with drinking and drug problems will pay me to draw them naked sans all the fat. That and they want posters of naked girls all wrapped up with each other. However, they also give me 15 a week to walk the dog.
The only way I ever found of making money when I was too young to get hired was pet sitting. Less work than watching whiny kids and people tend to pay quite alot to ensure their precious pets stay safe.
That, or you could always sell crack.

Random side note I feel like pointing out, I've been on hold with my bank for 10 minutes now and they just play the same music in a loop over and over and I'm going to go insane! :furious:

a good source of income is available if you are able to get in touch with a real estate agent or two and do some commercial work in taking pictures of the houses they are listing to make them look extra fancy and what not.

why not submit prints on dA? I'm sure a lot of people would buy them ;)

Photo/printing store. Started a couple of days ago and it's working pretty well so far.
Hey, I live in DC! I'm getting a job at a film production company-- studios and small companies are always looking for new talent (behind the camera), and like lots of people have said, arty stores always need new employees.

Also, since it's summer, I'm sure you could just go on Craiglist and list yourself as a wedding photographer-- I know lots of "professionals" that make a decent second wage that way.

Good luck and, um, if you're ever lost in the Tenley area let me know! =P

I'd love to get a job like that. Not many such places in Hawai'i though. Not very much wedding business in this part of the island either. I can always give it a try though.

I wish I could stay in DC longer and meet people. I'll only be there for a very rushed 3 night visit though :(

I thought about it and looked into it. Do you have an account? Do you think it's worth the profit?

Interesting. So you think it's worth the profit?
